Dave Brokenshire

Dave Brokenshire first established himself painting in oils, but is now best known as an audio visual performance artist.

Laptop triggered animations, video, DVD and cameras enable him to create a live on-screen environment. A typical performance might involve playing in excess of 1500 video clips and mixing between sources in a creative dialogue with the music he is accompanying.

Rocket Vision describes what is created when the visual arts finally respond to high energy electronic music.

Rocket Vision has constantly raised the bar in perfecting the mix of Video into Dance music. With residencies spanning the different genres of electronic Music at Boomslang, Warning, and Dot Cottons along with regular performances across the UK; from raves and warehouses to concert halls and may balls. Dave’s work ranges from backing DJs to jamming with musicians and dancers in a real-time audio visual fusion.

It is widely expected that Dave is going to change the way Visual Art is used at Festivals, starting with Fordham, so expect to witness something never been seen before.
