The connection string option allows the definition of a connection String.

 

The Connection button from the Data Source Properties  screen will display the following Connection options.

 

 

 

Once you have selected the option you want the tree will be expanded to view further options

available relevant to the connection you have chosen.

 

 

 

Click OK to return to the Data Source Properties screen and click the advanced button to view

the connection string as it appears in the Web config file, this will be encrypted however when the Web Service is generated.

 

If you need to enter a connection string manually that does not appear in the list then you can enter this by clicking on the advanced button and entering the string.Note though that as shown above you can enter the tilde character ~ around the values for Server etc. so that they can be entered in the  panel as shown here.
