Web Service Generator allows you to easily create secure .NET web services that can quickly retrieve any data that you require from your data-source: Simply specify your data-source and SQL query and it will construct a web service that retrieves the appropriate data and returns the results in XML format.
This web service can then be plugged directly into your Xcelsius Dashboard using the ‘Web Service Connector’ component, found in the ‘Web Connectivity’ category: drag it onto your canvas and double-click on this newly created connector button to see its properties. Here you can enter the URL of your web service and see all the available data. You can then map the results of the web service call into your Excel data model.
Coupling these two products enables the rapid development of interactive digital dashboards.
