As of 1st Jan 2010 Business Objects has discontinued distribution of Xcelsius Engage Server. We are very pleased to announce the arrival of the replacement product Flynet Xcelsius Server 2010 (FXS2010).
Flynet Xcelsius Server 2010 contains all the functionality of Xcelsius Engage and Present detailed below. However, in addition it allows you to connect to business data sources and databases without the need for complex coding. It also allows more than two data connections per dashboard, unlike Engage. If you wish to connect to your Xcelsius dashboards to business data sources with no coding, you will need Flynet Xcelsius Server 2010.
If you do not have a requirement to easily connect your dashboards to live business systems, Business Objects and Flynet still offer the following standalone versions of Xcelsius 2008.
Xcelsius Engage
Xcelsius Engage data visualization software combines all the stunning visuals of Xcelsius Present, with the added ability to connect to up to two live data source to your business dashboard, opening up a whole new world of benefits.
Your Xcelsius dashboard is now transformed into a management tool capable of delivering real time business information. You can be confident that the business decisions and forecasts you make are based on the most up to date data available.
Engage allows you to have at most two web service data connections per dashboard. These web services have to hand programmed or already exist within your organisation. If you wish to have automated generation of web services and more than two connectsion per dashboard, you need Flynet Xcelsius Server 2010.
Xcelsius Present
Xcelsius Present data visualization software is one of the most powerful business management tools available today. Unlike other presentation software, which merely allows you to inform your audience with static tables, charts, and graphs, Xcelsius Present gives you the ability to engage and persuade your audience with visually stunning, interactive business dashboards. Xcelsius Present does not connect to external data sources.
